Period Costumes - A Halloween Favorite

Costumes from a particular period are always a favorite at Halloween (and even other times of the year). Part of the reason they're so popular is because you have such a large selection to choose from.

You could pick a renaissance costume, a medieval costume, a civil war costume or any number of other historical characters.

One of the great things about these periods is the number of costumes you'll be able to choose from, whether you decide to rent, buy or make your own.

There are lots of people who take part in role-playing games from various periods throughout history, and a lot of the costumes have been recreated in the finest detail.

Civil War costumes are a perfect example. There are groups all around the country that role play different battles from the civil war, and costumes are available for whichever side you want to join.

There are also a lot of theatre productions from various points in history, and the costumes that go along with them. Many theatre companies rent their costumes when they're not using them for a play or musical so you might be able to find a good deal on a great costume at your local theatre.
