Costume Rentals - A Quick & Easy Way To Get The Costume You Want

If you've got a particular costume in mind for Halloween this year, renting it can be a great way to go. It saves you from having to piece it together from all different places, and the costumes at most rental stores are much higher quality than what you would be able to put together yourself.

The disadvantage, however, is cost. It can cost as much to rent a costume as it does to buy it, so consider whether or not you'll ever want to wear that same costume again.

If you don't mind wearing the same costume for more than a single Halloween, it might be worth your while to buy your own.

If you are going to rent your costume, remember that Halloween is the absolute busiest time of year for rental stores.

If you know what you want, it's best to reserve your costume as early as possible to avoid disappointment. Mid-summer is not too early to book - that way you'll be fairly sure of being able to get the one you want.

There are online rental stores and most cities have at least one. A lot of small theatres have their own costume departments as well, and they often rent the costumes when they're not using them so check with your local theatre company as well.
